Varchetype LLC ("Varchetype", "we", "us") runs varchetype.com. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site, take the fit check or book a call, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@varchetype.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Fit check answers: your business's revenue range, team size, challenges and goals.
- Contact details: first and last name, phone number and email address.
- Text message consent: whether you agreed to receive texts, and the date you agreed.
- Booking details: the time you book and anything you add when scheduling a call.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data such as browser type, pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (from IP address) and the campaign link that brought you here (UTM tags).
- Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics and, if we run ads, to measure them. See Cookies and analytics.
How we use it
- To see whether we're a fit, schedule your discovery call and prepare for it.
- To contact you about your call and our services by email, phone and, if you agreed, text message.
- To run, secure and improve the website and understand which channels bring visitors.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising without your consent where the law requires it.
Text messages (SMS)
If you tick the box on the fit check, we may text you about your discovery call, such as confirmations, reminders and rescheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of booking a call or buying anything.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Varchetype, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Website hosting and logs (Vercel)
- Scheduling (Cal.com)
- Customer records and email (our CRM and email platform, Twenty and Loops)
- Workflow automation that moves data between those tools (n8n)
- Text message delivery (our SMS provider)
- Analytics and ad measurement (Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and, if we advertise, ad platforms such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn)
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools to count visits, see how the site is used and, if we run ads, measure them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing.
How long we keep it
We keep fit check and contact information for as long as we have a business relationship or a reasonable prospect of one, and then for up to three years unless the law requires longer. Consent records are kept as long as needed to show we had permission to contact you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or provide a copy of your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states), you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to appeal a decision we make on your request. Email hello@varchetype.com and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Unsubscribe links in our emails and replying STOP to texts also work.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The site is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
